- Applied for and received funding from NHPD for research into medicinal plants, developing Wild harvesting practices, and research methodology for native medicinals.

- Served as Vice President for the association and as representative for the association at the national level on the Canadian Council of Herbalists Associations with a mandate to create and maintain dialogue with Health Canada regarding the practice of Herbal Medicine especially with reference to the impact of Natural Health Product regulations.
