  • Applied for and received funding from NHPD for research into medicinal plants, developing Wild harvesting practices, and research methodology for native medicinals.
  • Consulting Herbalist with general practice, 1985 – current Medical Herbalist practicing in Courtenay and Cumberland B.C. Also outreach/education to general public regarding the benefits of herbal medicine, quality and safety issues etc.
  • Expert Advisory Committee, Health Canada, Natural Health Products Directorate. 2007 – 2009
  • Served as Vice President for the association and as representative for the association at the national level on the Canadian Council of Herbalists Associations with a mandate to create and maintain dialogue with Health Canada regarding the practice of Herbal Medicine especially with reference to the impact of Natural Health Product regulations.
